Recently named a cultural town, located on the Pacific side and at only a one hour and 20 minutes drive from Cabo San Lucas town but well worth it once you start your journey towards Todos Santos the views are incredible, the emerging “Sierra de la Giganta” diversity and very contrasting vegetation and not to miss the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
Todos Santos merges from a very prosperous town because it was the sugar cane center; sadly drought and falling the sugar prices left the place for dead in 1950’s.
It became a ghost town for nearly 30 years and was rarely visited.
Nowadays Todos Santos is a great place to be and to visit their Mission Church of ‘’ Nuestra Señora del Pilar (1723) Museum of House of the Culture exhibit of artifacts including the 3,000 years old Matancita man and the Pericue history and other examples of the indigenous history of the Baja South.
The must see Hotel California (1928) rumored to be the same hotel featured in the famous Eagles song of hotel California and also the sugar mill ruins can also be found and the other big reason to visit Todos Santos is because is the shopping paradise.
